Hi, my name is Nikki and I write books.
Hi! My name is Nikki Van Noy and I’m an author, ghostwriter, and editor specializing in biographies, pop culture, and prescriptive non-fiction. I also work with both novice and seasoned authors as a book coach.
The bottom line: if a job has something to do with book-making, chances are I’ve done it at some point over the past twenty-plus years (a number that makes me feel very old when I write it out but, what can I say? I started young).
In that time, I’ve worked with a wide range of authors, including everyone from New York Times bestsellers to first-time writers. I’m very proud of the 100 percent success rate I’ve achieved for my clients in book proposals sold to major publishers, including Random House-Penguin, Simon & Schuster, Harper Collins, and Hachette. I’m also the bestselling author of So Much to Say: Dave Matthews Band—20 Years on the Road and New Kids on the Block: Five Brothers and a Million Sisters, both of which were published through Simon & Schuster’s Touchstone division.
My work has been featured on NPR and CBS This Morning, and in The Boston Globe Sunday Magazine, Rolling Stone, LA Weekly, Boston Magazine, The Hollywood Reporter, Huffington Post, and Publisher's Weekly, among others. I graduated from Harvard University with an ALB in Liberal Arts, and a concentration in Comparative Religion.
When I’m not hunched over a computer writing or editing, I can be found stretching my computer neck out on a yoga mat or hanging out with my daughter Izzy, who also has the bookworm gene.
